Meet junior varsity Coach steve peterson

Coach Peterson joins the Chaparral High School Basketball Program as the JV coach for the 2024-25 season, bringing an extraordinary 49 years of coaching experience at all levels of basketball. Among his impressive career highlights, he led Southern Nazarene University (SNU) in Oklahoma to an NAIA Division II National Championship and guided MidAmerica Nazarene University in Kansas to the NAIA Division II title in 2007 as head coach. Beyond these accomplishments, Coach Peterson has had the privilege of coaching both of his sons and gaining professional coaching experience in Avion, France. His unmatched expertise, dedication, and passion for the game make him an invaluable asset to the program.
